This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid insurance / broker experience to build a career with a world leading organisation.

You will join a team specialising in Political Violence (which includes Terrorism & Sabotage) across the world. Due to the ever-changing political environment across the globe commercial businesses seek indemnification for their potential financial losses from the after effect of such events.

You will work within a global team, based in Ipswich, in a fast-paced environment, with ever changing dynamics. Responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for retention of clients and new business development, you will manage and develop client and Willis Towers Watson relationships and grow the portfolio within the business unit and will be responsible for converting prospects.

The Role
  • Placing risks in Lloyd's and International markets
  • Seeking best terms and conditions for clients
  • Client account administration with the goal to retain and develop a profitable terrorism portfolio of accounts, including day to day care of clients' programme in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Documentation production
  • General advice and support to clients by email telephone and face to face meetings.
  • Understand the clients' business and risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service
  • Liaise with clients and markets to build strong relationships
  • Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients' needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients
The Requirements
  • Insurance experience either with an insurer or broker.
  • Confident and articulate
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Good working knowledge of Market Reform Contracts for Insurance and
  • Reinsurance contracts
  • Attention to detail and time management
  • Able to maintain face-to-face and telephone contact with clients and Underwriters
  • Experience in innovative solutions, problem solving and decision making
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial
  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service
  • Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists
  • Interested in pursuing Insurance qualifications as part of ongoing development- Chartered Insurance Institute
