The role

Based in Norwich with visits to regional offices as required

Working hours 37.5 hours per week or flexible working patterns accepted

They are seeking a Payroll Assistant to work as part of the Business and Private Team in the payroll bureau, assisting with the processing of client payrolls which vary in frequency (weekly, monthly, 2/4 weekly) and in size (1 to 100+ employees). The successful candidate will learn all aspects of the payroll function, and will have the potential to progress with increased responsibility for clients.

  • A desire to collaborate with others and develop relationships (both external and internal)
  • A strong multitasker able to manage a number of different tasks to completion in a timely manner
  • Methodical in your approach with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written

Payroll:

Learning all aspects of the payroll function

Helping the team with the preparation of client payrolls

Assisting the team with administrative duties

Supporting with all aspects of systems migration

Clients:

Willingness to learn about clients businesses and their needs

Able to develop good working relationships with clients and their staff

Keep up to date with the wide range of services which the firm offers

Additional qualifications and Experience

Ideally you'll have previous payroll bureau experience and you will be confident when providing payroll administration support using Sage and/or STAR payroll systems.

The successful candidate will also have GCSE's in Maths and English at C or an equivalent qualification.
