For those with seamless amounts of talent and an eye for detail, our new Pattern Grader position in Nottingham is an ideal role for you. In this position, you will be reporting to the Pattern Grading Assistant Manager, and will be responsible for creating accurate grades and size charts using our computer system, adhering to strict seasonal and weekly deadlines. Responsibilities:• Operate the Assyst computer grading system providing accurately graded patterns. • Produce grades on a seasonal basis for production, showroom and show purposes. • Be familiar and use the most up to date grade rules specific to each Paul Smith Collection and product group. • Produce size charts and sketches for graded garments using the computer system. • Liaise with Technical, Production Assistants and Designers to resolve issues that may arise. • Be responsible for the rectification of problems arising with regard to grades during the sampling and production stages of each season. • Adjust patterns to correct fittings and assist Pattern Cutters with development of new patterns if required. • Check size charts from external factories when required. • Check Pattern Graders and size charts as required.• Cut and check any graded patterns produced in card. Essential Experience and Skills Required: • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with Grade C or above in Maths and English.• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Illustrator and/or Coral Draw knowledge. • Previous experience working as a Pattern Grader in a fast paced environment.• Proven experience using computer grading systems and competent at compiling size specifications. • Experience liaising with Design and Technical teams. • Experience of working across multiple product types in both woven and non-woven fabrics. • Pattern Cutting knowledge desirable. About You:• Highly methodical and accurate individual with an attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work under pressure in a busy office environment, individually or as part of a team. • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise to achieve deadlines. • Excellent problem solving skills. • Able to effectively liaise with other departments. • Willing to work extra hours as required.In addition to the annual salary this role attracts -• Pension• Flexi time• An annual leave entitlement of 28 days, inclusive of Bank Holidays
