Permanent, Full Time Management Accountant in a modern, vibrant and busy company, based in Central Milton Keynes, salary up to £35,000!!

Our client, a fast paced, busy business services company based in central Milton Keynes, a hugely successful Business partnering company who provide a range of solutions for companies who have been established for nearly 100 years.

A fun working environment with a strong ethos on developing staff this Full Time Management Accountant role has been created due to internal promotion within the business.

Reporting directly to the recently promoted Finance Manager, and paying up to £35,000, your main functions will be:
  • Prepare the month end board packs and commentary for the company
  • Prepare budgets, payroll and year end statutory accounts
  • Control and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, agreement of Inter Company balances, preparation of accruals and prepayments
  • Produce weekly cashflow analysis.
  • Undertake the processing of various management reports, transactions and payments weekly and monthly.
  • Supervising the credit control, accounts payable and expense processing functions
  • Ensure debtor ledger is accurate and up-to-date and calculate bad debt provision
  • Collate monthly payroll submissions inc commission calculations
  • Commission accruals for various schemes
  • Post monthly journals, accruals & prepayments
  • Review monthly profit & loss account and highlight/investigate unusual items
  • Completion of quarterly VAT returns and EC sales listings
  • Calculation of property lease costs and rent free periods
  • Preparation of year end files and statutory accounts, assisting with external/internal audits, annual tax packs for tax accountants
  • Preparation of P11d's and PSA
  • Completion of a variety of income & profitor loss forecasts, including historical variance data

Person Specification
  • Part Qualified either CIMA or ACCA
  • Ability to operate on own and part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Build strong working relationships with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deal with a demanding workload even at conflicting times
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Some experience with Payroll and line management would be advantageous
