Duties include:
  • Training, supervising and appraising staff
  • Managing budgets/stock
  • Maintaining statistical and financial records
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints
  • Overseeing pricing and stock control
  • Maximising profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Preparing promotional materials and displays
  • Dealing with staff queries and rotas
  • Ensuring the store is at all times well presented with merchandise, labels, cleanliness
  • Ordering stock/Processing and arranging orders
  • Overseeing and developing the online side of the business
  • Delegating daily/weekly tasks to employees
  • Spending most of the time on the store floor helping customers, completing sales, supervising staff
  • Extreme Organisation & Systems put in place to ensure smooth working and focused towards online and less paper based as possible
  • Handling cash
  • Fully IT literate as much of the work will be based on e-commerce also.
