Salary: to £40k DOE + profit related bonus worth c £5k pa but not guaranteed

Our client is looking for an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join their team and work closely with both their internal sales and IT support teams as well as their customers directly.

You will continue adding value to the IT support service they deliver, but our client is also looking for someone with account management capabilities, to enhance the service that they offer to their customers as a whole.

The successful candidate will therefore have the opportunity to deal with both new and existing customers face to face, either in pre-sales meetings along with the sales team and thereafter on a regular basis to maintain and enhance their customer experience, post-sale, through delivery of a technically enhanced account management service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high level of technical support to customers in an efficient and accurate manner by diagnosing and solving complex faults and issues.
  • Provide both pre and post sales consultancy / account management to clients predominantly focusing on cloud technologies such as Azure
  • Provide account management to project teams internally
  • Perform pre-sales technical consultancy and analysis of client requirements, to ensure correct solutions are offered and implemented
  • Develop the client relationship and advise them of opportunities for additional services and product solutions
  • Production of business case proposals and functional requirement specifications
  • Co-ordinate the installation and integration of new client services
  • Document installations and configuration of systems implemented to allow for smooth transition to support
  • Handover of delivered projects to the internal support team as required
  • Contribute to the continuing development of the IT day-to-day operations
  • Provide high levels of technical support to clients as required. Note that you will be working alongside a team of technical support advisors who will handle the majority of the support calls.
  • Provide training and guidance to the existing team on cloud technologies.

Skills Required
  • Experience of providing Technical support and Account Management to SME clients
  • Experience in providing a high level of customer service and support to clients
  • Pre-sales experience and the production of technical proposals
  • Working knowledge of supported Windows Server Operating systems
  • Experience in and good working knowledge of Active Directory and Server Roles
  • Knowledge of Virtualisation Technologies - Hyper-V, VMWare, Citrix is desirable
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft products such as SQL and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Cloud Based technologies such as Office 365, Azure and Server Hosting (IAAS)
  • Skills in the planning, implementation and migration of a customer's legacy systems to modern equivalent.

As you will be required to visit customers on site, please note that you will be required to have your own transport and a full and valid drivers licence. You will be office based Monday to Friday but during this time, you will be required to visit customers at their premises.
