Account Executive - Commercial Insurance
Up to £36k basic plus bonus & £3600 Car Allowance

Field based role


To understand new and existing Client's business and their approach to insurance and risk management. To design and administer insurance solutions for the protection of their material assets and liabilities.

To seek new business in line with company objectives and personal targets as defined within Sales and Individual Plans. To maintain, and achieve growth in, income from existing clients.

To develop relationships, including visits for existing clients. To collate information and carry out administration of allocated Client's insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner. Ensure collection of premiums from clients is carried out.

Key Responsibilities
  • To meet with prospect clients to understand their business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance
  • Conduct a full, zero based insurance review
  • Offer and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions, with purpose to secure renewal and/or new business
  • Liaise with underwriters to obtain quotations
  • To deliver and sell the insurance proposals
  • To expand existing client portfolio to include additional covers and to produce new business leads for the sales team
  • Plan client meetings in advance
  • Send Client communications including meeting agenda, notes and reports Manage own files as per local procedures.
  • The jobholder will, at various times, act for the insured and insurer.

The suitable candidate will have minimum 2 years commercial insurance experience.

The role will involve travelling within your geographical region to meet clients. You will be able to work remotely and from home with office meetings at least once a week.
