The position will initially be on a 6 month basis with the opportunity for it to be extended, there is free on site parking along with a range of other great benefits,

Key Responsibilities

Assist Finance Assistant (sales) with key sales ledger processes as instructed. This could include:

* Assist with sales invoicing

* Accurate processing of BACS sales receipts via Business Central

* Process credit card receipts

* Assist with weekly banking

* Assist with general Credit Control duties

Assist Finance Assistant (purchase) with key purchase ledger processes as instructed. This could include:

* ensuring purchase orders are matched to invoices accurately to meet authorisation requirements

* chasing missing purchase orders including agency usage

* reconciling supplier statements, and checking key supplier statements e.g. agency on a monthly basis.

* processing of purchase ledger invoices via Business Central

* payment of purchase ledger BACS payments via Business Central

* Check photocopier usage to invoices

* Scanning invoices from payment run and faster payments

Responsible for the processing of staff expenses and van driver payments and resolving any issues.

Responsible for processing all Services Petty Cash Claims and resolving any issues

Responsible for processing the shop transactions from the paperwork received each week and confirming bank totals.

Dealing with any queries relating to shop transactions paperwork and working closely with the senior who oversees this.

Responsible for processing the weekly head office Petty Cash reconciliation and claim.

Assist with weekly bank runs.

Accurate and speedy filing of paperwork to ensure no invoices or purchase orders are lost or misplaced.

Managing the incoming and outgoing mail and the finance@ email account.

Answering and re-directing incoming telephone calls for the department.

Supporting all members of the team with various tasks as required.

Essential

Experience/Understanding

Previous experience in a busy Finance Department

Skills/Abilities

Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Excel.

Good organisational skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing.

Motivated and able to use own initiative.
