IT Systems Manager (Network Support / Infrastructure)


£28k-£35k Dependent Upon Experience

In this IT Systems Manager (Network Support / Infrastructure) role, you will be responsible for the support, administration, maintenance and development of the Company telephony, IT network/systems and PC hardware infrastructure, including all aspects of applications, communications and data security.

IT Systems Manager (Network Support / Infrastructure Specialist) Knowledge / Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in Systems / Network support.
  • Must have a good general knowledge and experience of using IT systems.
  • Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Requirement for knowledge of internet technologies, anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware software, hardware and software firewalls.
  • Administrative knowledge of O365 exchange and applications.

IT Systems Manager (Network Support / Infrastructure Training) Experience Required

Educated to 'A' level standard and with a recognised qualification in one or more of the following: -
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft Office
  • Routers/Firewall
  • Desktop Support

Or, have an equivalent product/application qualification

IT Systems Manager (Network Support / Infrastructure Specialist) Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To administrate and maintain the network infrastructure and central servers on a day-to-day basis including hardware maintenance, cabling, communications, performance issues and data security, liaising with 3rd party service providers where necessary.
  • To ensure network storage and performance levels are maintained at an optimum level.
  • To ensure completion of daily server backups and perform periodic test restores.
  • To maintain and support all software ensuring legal compliance.
  • To investigate emerging technologies and solutions for business advantage and development
  • To monitor antivirus and firewall services reporting irregularities as required.
  • To deliver training for both PC and laptop users across all relevant applications.
  • To ensure that asset registers are maintained for all IT/telephony equipment/software.
  • To maintain business telephony systems liaising with 3rd party service providers as required
  • To maintain and support company data provision ensuring stability, reliability, security and performance.
