iRecruit specialist are recruiting for an IT System Engineer, based in Camberley, on a temp basis. You will be working alongside the IT Manager and supporting the daily business giving IT the highest priority for all employees.

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
  • Provide front line support, fault finding and problem solving, to the company's IT Equipment (PCs, Laptops, Tablets, Printers, Mobile Devices) users both on and off site
  • Resolve user and technical problems in a timely and effective manner to provide the maximum possible availability of all systems to users
  • To provide a service to other operating departments including developing and encourage company employees in the use of IT systems. To advise on user training and assist in the construction of user manuals for operating procedures
  • Responsible for the effective provision, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure including maintenance of the relevant asset records
  • Work with external support partners to install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements
  • Maintain existing IT systems (Servers, Network Components, Backups etc.) to ensure that the Company functions effectively
  • Contribute to and maintain installation/configuration procedures and system standards
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • To provide and maintain a secure environment and recovery system for Company Information
  • Supporting the ITIL ticketing system (Service-Now) to manage IT/Facilities tasks efficiently.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up
  • To assist in research to identify and implement new systems opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business
  • Supports the IT Manager to develop an annual budget in conjunction with the IT Team for the Company's information and communication technology requirements to meet the strategic objectives of the business
  • To identify and implement investment proposals which enable the business systems and information to be cost effectively implemented, maintained and enhanced
  • To ensure a continuing maintenance facility for hardware and software
  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings, weekends and/or off site, sometimes with little advanced notice
  • Monitor server performance, capacity and availability

KEY REPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide front line support to Company's personnel, including fault finding and problem solving for both office and field sales personnel
  • Fully support the UK IT Manager in all aspects of IT/ Facilities within the Business
  • Work with external contractors to ensure Facilities Management of the Camberley site runs smoothly.
  • Work with Group IT to ensure groupwide standards are followed and implemented

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in an IT role
  • Experience in communication and Training
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • ITIL Foundation desirable or working towards qualification
  • Familiar with the Microsoft products (server and client operating systems, office, mail)
  • Knowledge of I-phone operations and mobileiron
  • Proven experience in installing, configuring, managing and operating a server and client infrastructure landscape as well as a local network
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Structured method of working and good analytical abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and to deal with pressure
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented person
  • Experience in Office 365 Administration, Contract Centre Manager (Mitel Phone System), Barracuda Backup
  • Hyper-V, Multifactor Authentication, Single Sign ON
  • Active Directory Experience (User Administration and user rights management in a windows environment, (DNS, DHCP, GPO, NPS)
