Management Accountant - Supply Chain
Reports to: Head of Supply Chain Finance

Ensuring the integrity and control of financial and management reporting
Analysis and understanding of financial and KPI data

Accountable for accurate and robust Supply Chain reporting including calculation & posting of all journals (excl. salaries) and invoice coding

Management of Supply Chain KPI reporting, including accuracy, timeliness and efficiency improvements

Day to day management of the fixed asset register

Preparation & management of balance sheet reconciliations

Running invoice batches (daily, weekly and monthly)

Capital expenditure process - tracking approval of CEF through the business, maintaining expenditure tracker and tracking variances to plan

Work alongside the Supply Chain Finance team at period end to ensure the completion of all required tasks in order to report the period results on a timely basis

Other ad hoc reporting and analysis

Assists the other members of the Supply Chain finance team in providing robust financial support to the Supply Chain function

A role requiring someone to have a basic understanding of accounting standards and be able to apply them in relevant situations.

Displays initiative in investigating variances and identifying areas that don't look correct to ensure robust & reliable financial accounting and reporting.
Identifies opportunities to drive continuous improvement in business performance and processes.

Esssential Skills:

Part-qualified or qualified accountant
Management accounts experience
Some Budgeting and forecasting experience
Strong Finance system experience
Good analytical skills
Excellent Excel skills

Clear, concise communicator - written and verbal
Pro-active. Ability, hunger and desire to see and implement solutions
Confidence to constructively challenge
Problem solver
Ability to manage to tight deadlines and prioritise
