Finance Analyst / Business Analyst

Position: Business Insight and Planning Manager
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Mon to Fri, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £50k per annum

About the role:

This role will be responsible for the oversight / delivery of all operational reporting along with regulatory commitments. You will be responsible for bringing multiple sets of complex data to life and 'telling a story' that can easily be acted upon and turned into actionable outcomes for the whole business.

The overall goal of the role is an increase in operational efficiency, customer experience and business engagement powered by analytics.

Responsibilities:

- Define, track and maintain key performance indicators to measure the impact / benefits of data driven changes and maturity of the Customer Data and Insights team.
- Drive a shift in culture and mind-set across all of operations, finance, commercial and marketing, to transition from data churn / re-active MI to Insights and pro-active preventative measures.
- Define and implement industry leading data practices to ensure that all insights are timely, accurate and informative.
- Ensure data integrity and security is maintained through the design and implementation of robust processes.
- Drive ongoing efficiency through actively pursuing automation opportunities and creating re-usable processes to limit future manual intervention in creation of MI.
- Present meaningful insight that tells the story in a compelling way - highlighting gaps in performance, process or trends of customer behaviour to a high standard to be shared at Board level.
- Provide clear and implementable recommendations to improve operational efficiency or the Customer and colleague experience through the interpretation of patterns, trends and data from multiple sources.
- Lead the transformation to end to end insight and reporting of the business.
- Ensure simplified, high level KPIs are available that provide.

About you:

- ACCA Qualification or equivalent.
- Experienced in a senior role demonstrating ability to influence business to change based on insights by effective communications and stakeholder management.
- Commercial mind-set focused on delivering value not just data.
- Talent in bringing opportunities to life and storytelling.
- Organisational skills, ability to manage own time effectively and to manage multiple routine matters while attending to strategic / complex matters.
- Ability to present and communicate effectively at all levels including Board level.
- Sound understanding of key operational Compliance aspects. TCF, FCA / GDPR Regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrable experience of using analytics to improve business performance.
- Experience of google analytics / marketing data sets as well as contact centre operational metrics.
