Supply Chain Manager

We're really looking for Supply Chain Manager from the Technology industry with a background either in procurement, supply chain, inventory management or logistics. What started off as a procurement manager role has evolved slightly within this areas over the last few years, so candidates need to have a foundation in these areas but equally be able to appreciate the potential scope for development in the role as the business continues to adapt.

The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with all stakeholders to provide a knowledgeable, excellent and a wholly encompassing Supply Chain to the business with a requirement to establish strong relationships in order to implement the business strategy and lead execution against key measures.

Utilising recognised best practice the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.

The Supply Chain Manager will have managerial responsibility for the delivery of KPI's across six core functions in the business: Purchasing. Vendor Management. Demand Planning. Product Management. Inventory Control. Transport & Logistics.

Scope:

* Manage and develop the Supply Chain team through performance review, objective setting, and team communication, coaching and mentoring.

* Develop and deliver Tactical and Operational plan for Supply Chain Department.

* Identify, scope and introduce technology, process, methods, and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and commercial contribution across all Supply Chain functions.

Core duties and responsibilities

* Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy

* Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Technical Support teams

* Determine key supply chain KPIs

* Suggest and Implement solutions for process improvements

* Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner

* Train and evaluate others

* Work with finance, sales, and operations team to determine best vendors and partners

* Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with vendors

DUTIES / KEY TASKS:

* Implement and manage Supply Chain solutions to facilitate the on-budget sourcing and on time delivery of products and services to meet the requirements of the business while operating within defined financial parameters of the company and meeting agreed SLA's for product availability, stock turn and cost savings

* Manage Procurement team in the task of collating, assessing and reporting on key MI relating to the performance of our approved vendors, stock database and working inventory. Propose strategies and process improvements based on sound commercial analysis of this data to bring about overall improvement to business performance.

* Investigate and implement sound and resilient relationships with portfolio of suppliers who can provide requisite goods and services to support delivery of company commercial goals and objectives via Vendor Management process. Develop supplier engagements, conduct supplier reviews, introduce relevant KPIs and implement supplier improvement plans as required.

* Collate, asses and report on KPI's and other management information, presenting to all levels of the business as required. With specific emphasis on expenditure, inventory turnover, vendor profile and savings

* To manage and develop direct reports.

Knowledge & Understanding

* Clear understanding of the company business plan and objectives.

* Sound knowledge of controls used by the business.

* Good understanding of database management

* Excellent working knowledge of Access Dimensions

* Knowledge of Access Dimensions stock module

* Knowledge of import and export legislations

* Good understanding of Quality management systems

EXPERIENCE - Essential

Educated to A level

3 Years' experience in Supply Chain environment

2 years previous experience in management role

Desirable

Previous B2B experience in IT related industry.

Broad knowledge of Retail related products with a good understanding of appropriate hardware and software

Previous experience in OEM sourcing role.

Previous experience in Logistics role.

Previous experience in Procurement role
