Financial Services Administrator / Typist

Location: Sandbach

Salary: £20,000

Our Client is a Wealth Management Company offering a full range of Financial Services to their Private and Corporate Clients. Operating from lovely offices and working as part of a friendly team in Sandbach; our Client now have a new opportunity is now available for an Administrator to support the Financial Consultants.

Working alongside the Practice Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to provide a professional and comprehensive administration service in a very busy and friendly office. Supporting a team of Advisers and Paraplanners, daily duties will consist of;
  • Audio typing of dictated file notes and client facing correspondence, ability to improve dictation to a professional standard;
  • Prepare files including: compliance required documentation, portfolio valuations and other documentation in preparation for an Adviser's meeting with a client;
  • Ensure that files are complete post-meeting with all required compliance documentation, all actions complete and passed on to the business processing team where appropriate;
  • Maintain accurate client information, files/records, electronic and paper, ensuring that clients are placed into a review system as agreed with the Partner;
  • Provide administration support to the Partner/Practice Manager as required, e.g. marketing correspondence; filing, scanning, shredding, follow up diary items; process withdrawals; update excel reports;
  • Answer the telephone and deal with calls/messages effectively;
  • Welcome clients to the office and provide refreshments;
  • Project a professional image in both appearance and attitude;
  • Ensure office stationery is of sufficient quality, quantity and up to date;

Candidates will have proven client services administration experience gained within an IFA/Financial Services environment. Attention to detail is a pre-requisite for this role, as is the ability to prioritise and to self-manage workloads effectively.

Candidates applying MUST be happy with a role that includes a heavy amount of typing (at least 50% of the role will be providing dictation for the Advisers). Therefore a fast and accurate typing speed is required.

In addition to a standard market basic salary (negotiable) there is an annual discretionary bonus linked to the performance of the individual and the overall practice. There is much scope for progression which would reward a candidate looking to develop their financial services career.
