Accounts Payable Assistant - Maternity Cover

As one of the UK's leading providers, our client have a comprehensive offering encompassing technical facilities services, energy solutions and M&E projects to meet all requirements of the built environment. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounts Payable Clerk for maternity cover until 20th April 2020.

  • Ensure invoices are processed, registered and managed proactively, resolving queries wherever possible.
  • Matching delivery notes to invoices, or obtaining internal sign off where appropriate and resolving queries wherever possible.
  • To assist in driving best practice for Accounts Payable within the business.
  • Liaising with suppliers over invoice and payment issues.
  • Ensure supplier statement reconciliations are performed on a regular basis on a sample of key suppliers each month.
  • To provide information, support and analysis to the Management Accounts team for strategic and operational decisions.
  • To develop close working relationships with internal customers to fully understand the business as well as establish a credible & effective network of contacts.
  • To work with internal & external customers, to actively support and initiate team work to achieve the greater good. Requirements:
  • Enthusiastic & positive minded individual
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, in particular Excel and Word
  • Flexible and organised approach, with an eye for detail
