Management Accountant - Preston - £35,000

What does the Management Accountant role look like?

We want you to provide accurate and timely financial services and information to a wide spectrum of internal and external customers in order to support business decisions across the whole organisation, including production, operations, commercial and support functions.

The Management Accountant role will also offer plenty of variety, so you'll be actively involved in activities such as costing new commercial and capex opportunities, analysing sales, profitability and performance, reporting and auditing key business performance KPIs & operational efficiencies, being the financial and business systems "go to"
reference person for all departments' current and future needs, as well as some project management to enhance our processes, systems, information and business performance to keep you well and truly on your toes!
So, who are we looking for? Somebody who can demonstrate:

• A high degree of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail

• Part or Fully Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/ICAEW)

• Technical knowledge of accounting, you may even be on your way to being qualified, and support will be given to the right candidate to complete your qualifications!

• Full knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially creation & manipulation of, Excel pivot tables. Sage Line 200 or similar accounting system would also be an advantage

• A high level of IT and computer literacy - ideally including experience implementing new systems and becoming a "super user" of operational and financial systems

• A great communicator, responsive to deadlines and understanding internal needs, as well as creating great rapport with colleagues and team members

• Pride in what they do for themselves and the teams around them

• The ability to manage their time effectively and prioritise and achieve key deliverables
