Edustaff are specialists in graduate recruitment for schools.

We help graduates to secure a year of experience in a school where they can fully immerse themselves in school-life. This experience allows graduates to make an informed decision regarding if they are ready and prepared to commence teacher training.

We are looking to speak with Science Graduates from Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Haverhill who are looking to secure a year of school-experience prior to applying for teacher training.

To be considered you will need:

- 2:1 or First-Class Honours degree with a science-based degree
- GCSEs of C or above in Maths, English and Science
- Preferably an A-Level within Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Maths
- An enthusiastic personality and the ability to inspire others
- A desire to become a qualified Science Teacher in the future
- Ideally previous experience working alongside the 11-16 age range (coaching, mentoring, youthwork)
- The ability to remain calm and composed even in challenging situations

What role could you be considered for?

- Science Teaching Assistant - working on a 1:1 or whole class basis, helping to progress the learning of the students within the class
- Science Intervention Tutor - planning and delivering small group interventions within Science. Creating fun, engaging and relevant resources to captivate the attention of your students.
- Science Cover Supervisor - delivering pre-set lesson plans within Science and across the school where needed in the absence of the usual class teacher.
- Science Instructor/UQT - taking on a reduced teaching timetable and delivering Science lessons to whole classes. Becoming a fully-fledged member of the Science department and getting involved in lesson planning, marking and assessment.

- Daily rate varies from £65 - £88 per day dependent on the role
- Training, Induction and CPD offered to get you up to speed
