Based at Home/Flexible working location with regular travel to London/Bristol and around the UK locations

Salary £75,000 DOE

Reporting into the Chief Technology Officer the role is a new role and is a member of our key senior leadership team in a newly established IT & Digital team.The IT and Digital function is responsible for driving positive organisational performance and commercial growth through the use of information technology, the design of new digital products and services, identifying innovation opportunities and aggregating and exploiting the use of data and enabling commercial growth and delighted customers and staff.

The Head of Digital Design & UX is responsible for the design of digital products and offerings to enhance Semta's reputation and grow commercial business, working with internal business stakeholders and customers to provide digital solutions to customer and market need. The role requires you to combine your creativity and technical skills to plan the outline, structure and visualisation of a portfolio of digital products and see them through to delivery.

To be successful in this role, we will need you to be able to demonstrate that you can:

Drive with passion and discover the latest technical innovations and most importantly you're ability to break through the jargon and clearly explain these new developments to colleagues.

Use your broad understanding of how the audience interacts with services and make use of this knowledge in the development of new projects whilst demonstrating your understanding of usability and navigation issues and integrate these into the overall design concept.

Direct 3rd party development teams as well as internal scrum models and challenge and test traditionally held views about web/digital development and contribute suggestions for continual improvement

Drive a data driven approach, ability to translate data to develop insights and practical recommendations, tell stories, drive decisions and measure impact.

Communicate effectively and develop strong and credible relationships with peers and leaders leading in a consultative way in a high paced change environment.
