We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Nursery Manager, that holds a minimum level 3 in childcare. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to further their management career within a brilliant team that prides itself on the support it offers to all staff through a dedicated Professional Staff and Setting Development Manager. Additional support is also offered from the owner.

The post is full time and all year round and a competitive salary according to experience is offered.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have at least 2 years managerial experience within a nursery.
  • Hold a relevant level 3 childcare qualification.
  • Have 5 years' experience working in a nursery setting.
  • Be energetic and fun.
  • Have a real love and drive for working with and educating children.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding policies.
  • Be happy to up-skill and improve their learning.
  • Believe in building strong Parent Partnerships to provide cohesive learning to our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring all children under our care feel engaged and supported.
  • Supporting the team within the setting.
  • Maintaining the highest standards when implementing safeguarding.
  • Ensuring the EYFS is implemented and applied to all learning.
  • To ensure our children have fun and a stimulating environment.
  • Promoting and upholding Health & Safety for children, staff and visitors.
  • Ensuring SEND is implemented, promoted and applied.
  • Making sure that the Nursery policies and procedures are consistently applied and adhered to.
  • To liaise and provide professional advice to parents, social workers, health visitors and any other professional organisation that is involved with the child and family.
  • To observe and record the children's activities and note any relevant observations (as part of compiling individual profiles) on a daily basis. Also to complete long focused observations on a monthly basis, planning for next steps to enhance learning.
  • To report any injury or accident to the relevant authority ensuring that health and safety of the child is maintained.
