A primary school who has worked closely with Teaching Personnel for over 3 years are hoping to source the ideal candidate for a maternity leave within the Nursery unit in school. This school is located in Accrington has many connections with the local community. You would be supporting children aged 3-5 years old. A sound knowledge of the EYFS Framework and phonics is highly sought after. The working hours will be from 8:45-15:30 and the pay will match the experience of the candidates. The role is to start from the Monday 23rd of September and will continue for the rest of the academic year.

The school is one of the top performing in the East Lancashire and as a result, the standards for behaviour and academic progress are a priority. It is essential that when you apply for the role, you are able to give examples of when you have developed skills amongst younger children and differentiated the Curriculum to meet individual needs. Predominately most of the children are from Asian heritage families and speak Punjabi/Urdu, therefore due to this there can be an element of EAL. With this in mind, experience supporting children who have English as an additional language is desirable.

Job Type: Full time

Rate of pay: £9.50 - £11.50 per hour

Start date: Monday 23rd September 2019

End date: Thursday 24th July 2020
