As a buyer or procurement professional working in FMCG, you'll be well versed with the skills required to manage supplier relationships, reduce costs and manage availability.

You will be joining an extremely well-established and privately-owned company who are leading suppliers of food products on the global stage. Their rich and proud history spans 175 years, so retaining their values led ideology, you will seek to learn every day how to make their business better for tomorrow.

Here's what you'll do:

Procurement Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of MRP
  • Placement of BOM PO's in line with MRP Requirements and company policies
  • Share forward demand/forecast with key suppliers on a regular basis
  • Check each delivery is received in full and manage suppliers accordingly
  • Develop and strengthen effective working partnerships with key suppliers using supplier performance report
  • Manage the inbound logistics of Bought In products, including overseeing the shipping documentation - all materials and packaging

Stock Responsibilities
  • Manage a 100% availability stock inventory against production and sales forecasts and pro-actively managing unanticipated issues
  • Manage Raw Material and Packaging stock levels across the business. Identifying Obsolete, Excess and short dated stock. Including delist run out, product changeover.
  • Quantifying Financial risks.

  • Publish daily, weekly and monthly reports from ERP system.
  • Provide relevant data and reports for S&OP meeting

These are the boxes needing to be ticked:
  • Experience of purchasing and stock management
  • Experience of dealing with imported goods
  • Experience of dealing with purchasing of Raw Materials and Finished Goods
  • Experience of FMCG (preferably food)
  • GMP Awareness
  • Experience of domestic and overseas sourcing

Experience in using proprietary ERP systems

And you'll get:
  • £30,000 to £33,000 per annum
