Investment Research Analyst - Job Details

"Savvy Investor" is a fast-growing, professional network and research platform for the global investment management industry. The site launched in early 2015 and already has over 38,000 members from around the world.

The company's business model is centred around strategic content partnerships with some of the world's largest asset management companies, including BlackRock, State Street Global Advisors, Robeco, Legal & General Investment Management, S&P Dow Jones Indices and FTSE Russell.

The Savvy Investor team's primary objective is to make available quality, timely, and objective research to members of the Savvy Investor community. As a professional "knowledge network", the content that is curated and produced is at the very heart of Savvy Investor's success.

The Investment Research Analyst will play a key role in the company's future growth.

Job Specification
We seek a bright, capable individual with outstanding written communication skills, to join our small, friendly team in central Bournemouth.

Working as part of a four-person Content Team, the Investment Research Analyst will focus primarily on curating and creating first-class content to publish on our platform. This might include creating original content in the form of blog posts and research-based reports relating to popular content in the industry.

The Investment Research Analyst will research sources of accurate, objective content of interest to our institutional investor audience, identifying white papers, reports and images, summarising and presenting them in the required format for publication, ensuring that any copyright issues are appropriately dealt with.

The role will not be limited to content production but will also include exposure to other facets of the business, depending on the candidate's skill-set.

Person Specification
We expect the successful candidate to have graduated with a First or Upper Second-Class degree in any academic discipline, to have worked within an investment environment and have a strong, ongoing interest in the world of global investment and economic affairs.

Previous experience as an investment researcher or writer is not essential, but previous exposure to the investment profession is a pre-requisite for the role.

Full training will be given.

Salary will be competitive, initially in the range £32,000-£36,000 depending on experience. Working hours are flexible, with 24 days holiday per annum.
