Here at Allport Cargo Services we are looking to recruit a full time Credit Control Administrator in Uxbridge. In return you will receive a competitive salary plus excellent benefits.

About the Credit Control Administrator role:

The role will involve liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, providing professional, proactive and effective credit control across the business. This includes:

- Opening of new accounts, checking customer's credit and approve or deny applications based on company standards and requirements.

- Ensure all new account forms/credit checks & relevant account information to be retained on E-docs & full information to be inputted on cargowise.

- Responsible for management of own section of the ledger, ensuring that the current version is retained in cash excel file and is maintained and kept up to date.

- Credit checks to be kept up to date and reviewed if an account is placed on stop. Branches/sales contact must be advised of any account issues.

Responsibilities as our Credit Control Administrator will include:

- Responsible for opening of new accounts, checking customer's credit and approve or deny applications

- Ensure that new and approved accounts are opened within 24 hours of receipt.

- Ensure all new account forms/credit checks & relevant account information to be retained on E-docs

- Responsible for management of own section of the ledger

- Ensuring that queries are notified to the relevant division & query log updated on cargowise

- Ensure that all balances over 10k are chased pro-actively prior to the month end.

- Credit checks to be kept up to date and reviewed if an account is placed on stop.

- Ensure that records are maintained in cargowise in respect of all dealings with accounts.

- Ensure Credit control notes to be kept updated & branches to be notified of any issues

- Ensure that all filing to be kept up to date.

- To take appropriate action on receivership cases

- Legal cases to be taken to court summons stage.

- Input into preparation of weekly cash forecasts.

- Daily reviews of credit exception report & appropriate action to be taken.

- Undertake any other duties commensurate to the job as may be reasonably required.

What we're looking for in our Credit Control Administrator:

- At least 2 years of proven credit control experience is required.

- Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent (e.g. GCSE)

- Proven experience of working in a similar role

- Proven experience of using systems for example cargowise would be an advantage

- Proven experience of producing reports

- Experience of working in a busy environment

- Ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of contexts both verbally and in writing

- Proven IT skills i.e. MS packages Excel is key

- Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines

- Flexible approach to working practices

- Occasionally unsocial hours work

- Willingness to undertake further self-development
