Dewbury Head Office & Site Visits

£35,000 - £40,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)

Car or Car Allowance

AM Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Project Engineer / Manager with a Mechanical / Chemical Process Equipment / Water Treatment background.

We are currently working alongside an established multimillion pound award winning engineering firm, who due to sustained growth are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer / Manager with experience within the water and wastewater treatment industry.

To manage a number of multi discipline projects. Projects can range from £5k ex works supply only to multi million pound turnkey projects.


• Ensure projects meet customer specifications

• Define project scope of works

• Interpreting client requirements

• Conduct site surveys when required

• Develop project plan, timescales and associated project documentation

• Issue and administrate contractual documentation

• Ensure that detailed manufacturing packages are produced for projects and parts are purchased

• Identify resources to deliver projects

• Communicate with other department managers to secure resources

• Communicate project scope and expectations to team members

• Ensure all relevant H&S and relevant legal requirements are observed

• Ensure detailed installation scope of works are issued and discussed for each project (subject to installation requirements)

• Build and develop business relationships with clients

• Communicate with clients

• Develop and deliver weekly progress reports

• Identify and resolve issues that may arise during project life cycle

• Track and monitor project milestones

• Monitor project budget and identify additional chargeable costs

·Checking and approving drawings

• Provide leadership, motivation and supervision for the project team members

Skills and Knowledge


• Mechanical HNC or equivalent

• Planning and organization skills

• Ability to prioritise workloads effectively

• Strong inter-personal skills

• Excellent team player

• Mechanical experience

• Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook experience

• Experienced Microsoft MS Project / Prima Vera or equivalent

• Full Clean Driving License/ willing to travel/ overnight if required.


• Background in the water treatment industry, experience working on water treatment sites

• Project Management qualification and experience

• Experience/ knowledge of Auto Cad 3D

• A good understanding of mechanical process equipment

• Knowledge of NEC3 / 4 Form Contract
