JOB SUMMARY

My client based near Stroud is looking for a motivated individual to provide management accounts and associated reports on a timely manner. To partner with operational managers to provide financial/business support to increase profitability on your relevant sites, while protecting the company's assets and ensuring internal controls are maintained

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, to an agreed timescale
Provide detailed insight into variances
Liaise closely with operational management
Prepare and present a monthly site financial performance report at the Business Review
Coordinate the budget/forecasting process in line with the company's deadlines and procedures
To perform a business partner role to operational management and be an integral part of their management team (this will incorporate regular visits to site)
Offer professional judgement on financial matters to sites and advising on ways to improve business performance
Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial people
Review and assist with commercial business tenders
Appraise capital projects for financial viability and return on investment
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain controls/accuracy of financial systems
Support the design and delivery of new reports and models as required
Preparation of year end audit information as required
Support the preparation of the annual statutory accounts.
Support financial department in central reports and requirements across the group as require
Any other duties where necessary for business continuity

CREDENTIALS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

Qualified CIMA/ACCA (2 years+ PQE)
Production of full, annotated monthly management accounts
Statutory accounts completion
Full Clean driving licence (travel to sites will be a requirement)
Use of business accounting systems
Experience of producing financial models
Use of Cognos TM1/data warehousing preferable
Logistics/ supply chain experience preferable

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES

Advanced Excel skills
Good Microsoft office skills
Good interpersonal skills comfortable presenting to Directors
Able to be persuasive in highlighting your point
Able to build strong relationship with non- financial managers
Able to manage and prioritise workload
Team player but self-motivated
