Accounts Assistant required for a Accountancy firm based in Salisbury (SP1). Well established firm, looking for a new member to join their small and supportive team. Full Time, Permanent role (circa £20,000 to £28,000) dependent on qualifications and experience.

Hours of work are Monday-Friday 09.00-17.00. Support and training offered to study towards the ACCA qualification (or to help with continuing studies). Duties include:
  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies, partnerships, LLPs and sole traders and related business tax computations
  • Providing opening balance adjustments for clients
  • Completing self assessment tax returns for sole trade, partnership or limited company
  • Preparation of charity accounts, independent examinations, receipts and payments accounts, PCC accounts
  • Filing accounts and tax returns (Companies House and HMRC)
  • Company secretarial (annual confirmation statements, filing changes of director, registered office etc)
  • Drafting correspondence and emails to clients, liaising with HMRC
  • Assisting in the provision of ad hoc advice to clients on vat, book keeping, taxation and related matters
  • General admin tasks such as billing etc
  • Knowledge skills and attribute

Key Requirements:

Ideally AAT qualified and studying towards the ACCA qualification

Relevant recent practice experience

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Sage with experience of other electronic accounting packages such as Xero, Quickbooks
