Our client is an HNWI that is setting up a new Office adjacent to their Surrey home, near Guildford. An exclusive opportunity has arisen to work within their philanthropic activities and investment businesses. The role is to assist the Principal, to take on the administrative burden and allow the Principal time to take a more strategic role.

The role covers a very broad range of tasks including the administrative running of two charities, control and maintenance of all records, supporting the three person investment office in London and keeping accounting records (receipts, invoices, etc.) to present to the accountant.

The primary responsibility will be the support of the Principal(s) in a new office to look after their extensive philanthropic work

The role will be varied but main duties will include:
  • Responsible for setting up and ordering the new office, which will include purchase of furniture, furnishing the office, I.T. set up, telephone installation, etc.
  • Manage the formal side of two registered charities, incl. making sure they are operated in compliance with the rules and regulations issued by the Charity Commission.
  • Participate in the meetings of the board of trustees and keep minutes.
  • Create accounting records and liaise with the accountant.
  • Keep register of all charitable obligations and ensure timely delivery.
  • Service a three-person investment office in central London and work from there 1-2 days per month.
  • Diary Management, arranging travel, appointments and meetings
  • Maintaining updated and well organized files and records
  • Office administration in general, incl. ordering supplies

As the role progresses, there will be opportunity to develop responsibilities within the charity and some Corporate Administration/Company Secretarial experience will be valuable.
