Operational Services (part of Commercial Services Group) provides several types of services including Landscape, Inspection and CTS Vehicle Maintenance Services.

The division is looking to recruit a Part Time Senior Credit Controller (21.5 hours per week), working from our offices in Parkwood, Maidstone, reporting to the Management Accountant. You will be a great team player with high negotiating skills, process driven and looking forward to working in a fast-paced operational environment.

It is essential that the successful candidate has minimum of 2 years' experience within a Credit Control role, work to a high degree of accuracy and has a proactive attitude and ability to work on own initiative.

Key tasks include:
  • Manage chasing of outstanding accounts and maximise debt recovery
  • Achieve maximum cash collection in line with set targets
  • Escalate the debt collection process in line with the business policy
  • Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms
  • Carry out regular account reviews for unallocated cash/credit notes
  • Monthly reporting to stakeholders on outstanding issues and potential debtor problems
  • Debtor statistics with relevant commentary reported to Management Accountant on a regular basis
  • Build strong customer relationships
  • Reconcile customer accounts as required
  • Assist with ad hoc projects

This post offers an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to join an operational finance team and ensure cash flow targets are maximised. Whilst no formal qualifications are required, finance experience would be an advantage. You will be expected to demonstrate numeracy and accuracy and have intermediate excel skills to undertake various reconciliation and analysis tasks.
