About the role
The School Place Planning function of the Council ensures that every child has an appropriate offer of education; this is one of our key statutory duties. As a School Data Officer, you will be supporting this vital function to ensure that everyone gets a good start in life.

As a School Data Officer you will use your excellent attention to detail to assist with the collection and exchange of data between schools, government departments and the Local Authority (LA), to ensure that the central LA management information system contains accurate pupil data, to facilitate accurate reporting and strategic planning.

You will be supporting the central Data Management Team, School Place Planning and Senior Leadership Teams with data requests as appropriate, therefore you will be comfortable working collaboratively and building strong relationships to ensure a high level of customer service.

To be shortlisted for interview, your application will clearly evidence:
  • Experience of working with accurate record keeping, data collection and data cleansing.
  • Experience of working with colleagues in schools to deliver key outputs and resolve queries
  • Experience of working with a centralised management Information System to facilitate accurate reporting and strategic planning
  • Strong IT skills
