Our clienthas an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join the team based in Northwich. You will work on afull time, permanent basis and you will receive a highly competitive salary of £21,105 - £26,344 per annum.

The Finance Officer role:

You will deliver the key accountabilities, work with the Finance Team Leader and Head of Finance to deliver the Our Money Strategy.

Key responsibilities of their Finance Officer:

- Contribute towards the development and implementation of finance and payroll systems relating to the role

- Role in financial Systems Administration for the General Ledger module of our Financial Accounts Package, including the actioning of period end routines

- Creation and maintenance of reports from the reporting module of our Financial Accounts Package.

- Provide support to the Finance Team Leader in terms of providing advice to line managers in the preparation and development of Budgets and Management Information, including the attendance at monthly meetings with service users. Accuracy and often confidentiality is of paramount importance

- Assist the Finance Team Leader in budget preparation, budgetary control, monthly management and year end accounts preparation. Responsibility for periodic reconciliation of control accounts

- Play a role in the completion of VAT returns and reconciliation of the VAT Control Account

- Collation and preparation of payroll information and submission to outsourced payroll provider

- Involvement in the day to day management, monitoring, processing and reporting on insurance claims, including the administration of insurance databases

What they're looking for in their Finance Officer:

- Subject relevant degree level of education (Accountancy or Business) or equivalent level of operational experience

- Experience within a busy financial environment

- Experience of computerised financial systems and proficient user of spreadsheets

- Budget Preparation

- Financial systems knowledge

- Knowledge of financial and management accounts preparation

- Budgetary management and control
