We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented and customer driven Finance Manager to join our team based in Stanton Harcourt. Reporting into a Business Controller with a dotted line into the Senior General Manager, this busy and varied role will see you leading a small finance team to provide high quality, commercial and robust financial support for a high profile retail contract.

Working collaboratively with the CEVA and customer operational teams you will ensure the integrity of the contracts reported numbers and adherence to agreed costs commitment policies whilst driving the pursuit of operational improvement and value for money. You will also lead the financial and commercial work streams of projects across the CEVA / Customer partnership and will be the key customer contact, dealing with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
  • Drive the preparation of accurate and complete open book weekly and period accounts including the P&L and balance sheet account ensuring proper review and control processes are in place.
  • Track and validate financial performance of PI and PIP initiatives
  • Provide variance analysis reporting on key performance drivers across all sites/contracts and support account teams in developing and implementing improvement plans
  • Accurate Analysis of weekly / period variances against CEVA and customers targets, supporting action plans to ensure targets are achieved
  • Work with the site operational team/Senior General Manager to identify and deliver costs effective logistics solutions for the customer
  • Critically assess all opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money, and implement those agreed.

Ideally, we are looking for an individual who is customer focused with a business partner mindset. Our ideal candidate will proactively build relationships with both the operational leadership team and the customer with the courage to influence and challenge decisions and financial performance. You will be a qualified accountant who can demonstrate gravitas and sway to both internal and external audiences. You must have a background gained in a logistics environment or similar and will be used to working at a pace with an outstanding service driven approach. Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to coach, develop and motivate a small team are also key requirements for this role.
