Your new company
Due to growth, my client, a leading global consultancy, is looking for experienced actuarial analysts and actuaries to take up initial 6/9/12 month contracts.

They are open to considering current contractors, as well as those currently in permanent roles with 1-3 months' notice, who are seeking a fresh and exciting challenge. Although they cannot guarantee at this stage, there is the possibility of the contracts either being extended or to be able take up a position on a permanent basis.

The roles can be located in the north, south and midlands due to their national presence

Your new role

You will be able to work on both actuarial and investment clients with opportunities to work on member options and risk transfer projects when required. As an actuary / analyst, you will use your drive and strong analytical and communication skills to help your team achieve clients' goals Within the role you will be assisting consultants on the preparation and delivery of both day to day, and strategic advice, dealing with queries received from the client, third parties and internal clients

You'll carry out non-standard scheme benefit calculations and involvement in wider actuarial work (i.e. assumptions advice, funding advice, actuarial factor reviews, funding updates, accounting).

What you'll need to succeed
This role would be suitable for someone who already has experience working with trustees and corporates on DB pensions within an actuarial consultancy role and making good progress through the actuarial exams; all the way up to those who are qualified

To be considered you will have at least 3 years' experience in the pensions consulting market with a strong understanding of UK defined benefit pensions market You'll have strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

You will have knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design, as well as having excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

In terms of remuneration, the client can offer a day rate between £450 and £850 dependant on your level of experience. In addition, you will be challenged to deliver impactful solutions for major organisations and have a direct impact on their employees.
