Samsung have a clear IoT platform strategy and 2019 represents the first major development in capitalising on the unique and diverse capability across all of Samsung's CE offerings including mobile, TV, audio and domestic appliances.This is an incredible opportunity to work across all of Samsung's UK business and through technical product management leadership shape the future of IoT in the UK market.Role and ResponsibilitiesPurpose of the Role...To be responsible for all Technical aspects of Samsung UK's IOT and Connected Living Customer offeringTo lead the technical development of all UK centric IOT propositions and manage from concept to launchEnsure all Samsung UK products work correctly within the Samsung SmartThings umbrella and troubleshoot any issues as they occurTo work across all business units / categories in Samsung UK to technically underpin, enhance and develop the Multi Device ExperienceTo directly manage the technical relations with Samsung R&D, Samsung HQ, SmartThings and with third party device manufacturers to ensure that the customer experience is optimalTo identify, develop , promote and implement technical differentiation within our products by developing solutions both internally and externallyKey Responsibilities...Be the UK technical expert for all SmartThings app and cloud interactions cross categoryMaintain a detailed understanding of the IOT functionality in our phones, tablets, wearables, TV, AV and digital appliancesUse this knowledge to problem solve any issues or problems associated with content & services.Know our cross category services thoroughly, how they should work, interact and the customer experienceManage the overall SmartThings compatibility list along with the other members of the IOT teamAnticipate possible issues and maintain and share launch status with the Head of Connected Living Solutions on a weekly basisWork closely with our content and services team to develop bespoke applications to meet the businesses needsSupport the 'Director of Connected Living's business objectives, goals, strategy and challengesSkills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role you ideally have....Knowledge of IoT technical platforms / productsKnowledge of mobile operating systemsKnowledge of mobile hardware technologies such as processor's, screens , memory, Wi-Fi and BluetoothBEng or equivalent in Mobile Technology, Electronic Engineering...A minimum of 5 years or experience within the consumer electronics or mobile network industryEssential Soft Skills RequiredA passion for IoT and customer focused solutionsExperience in working with stakeholders across different geographies / marketsHighly collaborative / partner management focusedCreative thinkingSelf-motivated and self-starterOutstanding communications skills with ability to present to Key stakeholdersExcellent attention to detailFlexible & adaptable with ability to work in cross functional teamsAbility to work at a face pace, with accuracy in a changing environment and proven resilienceTenacious, passionate, creative & drivenTeam player Ability to work on multiple projectsAbility to make decisions with full understanding of knock on impacts and wider business trade offs* Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
