I am representing a large design, engineering/manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Southend and currently have an opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to be part of the Group Finance team. This position will be based at my client head office in Southend.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Credit Controller position will include:

• Responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate financial records and the presentation of information to operational management
• Responsible for the Credit Control function of all divisions within the group, including:

oEstablishing and developing good working relationships with customers
oMaintaining regular contact with customers via phone and email
oLiaising with other departments within the Company to ensure queried/disputed items are investigated and resolved promptly
oMaintaining a log of customer contact and activity
oAdvising management when collection needs escalating
oPeriodic aged debt reporting
oCommunicate effectively with customers, members of the finance team and other departments and management

Experience required for the Credit Controller will include:

• Experience in Credit Control
• Confidence and the ability to place pressure tactfully on companies with outstanding balances
• Ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

The hours are 39 per week, Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm (30 minute lunch break) and Friday 8am to 1pm, and due to the location you will need to have your own transport.
