Are you a recent French, Spanish or German Graduate who wants to go on and become a qualified MFL Teacher? Were you inspired by your MFL Teachers at school? Do you have a love of learning languages that you want to pass on to others?

As a French, Spanish or German Academic Mentor, you will gain a full academic year of experience in a secondary school MFL department. This experience will give you a solid foundation to build upon before starting your PGCE or School Direct Teacher Training in September 2020.

As a confident French, Spanish or German Graduate, you will be able to utilise your academic talents and help pupils achieve and build confidence within Modern Foreign Languages.

• MFL Academic Mentor post - Ipswich
• Talented Graduates within French, Spanish or German required
• Strong subject knowledge within two of the three languages named above is desirable
• High achieving Secondary School with an inspirational Headteacher and supportive Senior Leadership Team
• £65 - £88 per day (depending on responsibilities)

MFL Academic Mentor Specification

• 2:1 or First-Class Honours degree within French, Spanish or German
• Fully committed to train as an MFL Teacher in Suffolk
• Able to commence the role in September 2019 and commit to a full academic year
• Charismatic and engaging MFL Graduate who can inspire the minds of others
• Previous experience tutoring/mentoring/coaching the 11-16 age range is desirable
• The ability to deliver engaging, challenging and creative MFL activities

MFL Academic Mentor Role

• Supporting the class teacher, leading small groups & mentoring pupils on a 1:1 basis
• Observe exemplary practice from some outstanding practitioners and help to raise pupil's attainment
• Plan and deliver small group MFL intervention sessions to accelerate learning
• Fantastic MFL Academic Mentor experience for those looking to train as a MFL teacher
