Reed Education are looking to recruit a School Exams Officer to work within one of our Secondary Schools situated near Ellesmere Port starting in September on a permanent contract direct with the school.

The school is a highly successful 11-18 secondary school with over 1500 students on role which includes a thriving sixth form. This popular, over-subscribed school places the achievement of all learners as priority and as a result academic standards are high and improving year on year.

Due to retirement of the current post holder, the school wish to appoint an Exams Officer to support the management, organisation and smooth running of the examination process within the school, along with the collection of termly assessment data and reporting to parents. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a similar role.

This is an exciting opportunity to with students to help the school become even more successful.

Job descriptionThe post holder is responsible for managing the efficient and effective administration of all internal and external examinations both general and vocational within the school, including liaising with staff, pupils, parents/carers, invigilators, examination boards, JCQ, other schools/colleges and other educational organisations.

Person specificationQualifications: GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths. Good general education desirable.

Experience: Experience of working within a finance department. Working in a school environment desirable.

Knowledge & Skills: Good understanding of financial systems. Excellent attention to detail. High level interpersonal skills. IT literate. Working knowledge of SIMS, Tucasi and FMS systems desirable.

Personal competencies: Flexible approach to work. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Team player.
