We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join a well-known Fashion brand based in Hammersmith.

This role sits as a key business partner within the finance team and will be responsible for leading on the delivery of the monthly management accounts as well as other key financial reporting requirements.

You will have a strong technical knowledge of accounting and be a natural problem solver with a 'can do' attitude.


- Ownership of GBP, EUR and USD bank reconciliations - investigating and resolving all variances

- Preparation of monthly prepayments and accruals schedules to ensure correct balance sheet positions

- Ownership of the FAR (Fixed Asset Register) ensuring alignment with the Company depreciation policy and reconciliation back to the trial balance

- Posting and reconciliation of payroll journals and related balance sheet control accounts

- Managing all accounting entries for the US subsidiary

- Assisting FC with variance analysis and preparation of monthly management accounting pack

- Preparation of weekly notifications for HSBC Receivables Financing facility and month end reconciliations thereof

- Preparation of the quarterly UK and Italian VAT return submissions

- Preparation of quarterly US sales tax submissions

- Preparation and submission of EC Sales List

- Preparation and submission of Intrastat returns

- Dealing with National Statistics surveys (finance related only)

- Processing of GBP/EUR/USD and JPY import loan payments and reconciliation of associated liability accounts back to the trial balance

- Review of purchase orders and direct invoices to ensure proper and correct g/l coding

- Support the Accounts Payable team, assisting with supplier reconciliations and queries

- Posting of sales invoices and credit notes

- Creating new vendors and maintaining the supplier database

- Providing support during year-end financial audits

- Supporting the finance team on other ad-hoc tasks as required

Essential Skills & Requirements:

- Previous experience within Fashion, Apparel, Luxury and Jewellery is advantageous but not essential

- Actively studying for a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA) with sound technical knowledge

- Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups & pivot tables as a minimum) and comfortable with learning new IT systems

- Experience dealing with a broad range of financial accounting, control and tax matters

- Organised, efficient, and self-sufficient with good interpersonal skills
