Management Accountant/Assistant - Overview

As an Management Accountant/Assistant you will support the Finance Manager where necessary and be responsible for the day to day processing of transactions, ensuring processes and procedures are followed to accurately record daily transactions and reconcile them onto the ledgers, for InTouch group accounts. The role will include responsibility for payroll as well as covering the Finance assistant on annual leave.

Management Accounts
  • Prepare the Accruals and Prepayments schedule with full supporting documentation
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset register
  • Prepare the month end depreciation journal
  • Create a fixed asset note at the end of each month
  • Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations at month end
  • Accrued and Deferred Income reconciliation

Reporting and Forecasting
  • Update the Cash Flow tracker for review by the Finance Manager with daily sales and expenditure
  • Monitor cash performance against budget (income and expenditure)
  • Monitor departmental budgets, specifically events, business development, learning and development and marketing

Cash and Bank
  • Process refunds from the customer care report
  • Update customer care refunds spreadsheet with 'progress'
  • Manage Chargeback requests
  • Prepare creditors for weekly payment run

Additional Responsibilities
  • Calculation of monthly commissions, including a sense check against recorded sales
  • Processing payroll using Sage 50 payroll
  • Deduction and reporting of pension contributions to the pension provider
  • Ad hoc finance duties to support the Finance Manager
