Main Purpose of Role:

Responsibility for the company's Sales Ledger and Accounts to TB level (currently in Sage 200 Cloud) and to assist the Finance Manager with other tasks as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Ledger
  • Collate timesheet information each week from the Business Agility timesheet portal and ensure compliance with policy.
  • Raise weekly or monthly invoices based either on timesheets or otherwise in accordance with the client contracts or agreements. This includes invoices for rechargeable expenses.
  • Send invoices in accordance with the client's procedures. Liaise with clients and Business Agility managers where appropriate. Flag any issues.
  • Produce reports and complete reconciliations.
  • Credit control for approximately 10-20 accounts. Including currency/overseas accounts.
  • Cash allocations and bank recs.
  • Maintaining customer records, contracts & purchase orders.

Other Duties
  • Assisting with the month end reporting including accrual & prepayment calculations, nominal ledger journals, balance sheet reconciliations & project accounting reconciliations.
  • Providing regular updates on Accounts Receivable showing expected receipts and reporting any issues with PO's or payment dates etc.
  • Assist & cover on the Purchase Ledger if required during holidays & busy periods.
  • Assist the Finance Manager as required, to include ad-hoc reporting, analysis of nominal ledger accounts, assistance with statutory and other audits/inspections, VAT Returns.

Admin Duties
  • Share the day to day admin responsibilities to be expected within a small open-plan office environment (e.g. collect post, answer phones, book meeting rooms etc).

Supplementary Roles:

The nature of operations here is that on occasions, all employees are expected to tackle short-term assignments that are appropriate to their abilities. This may involve helping out in other departments in times of heavy workload or helping out where there is a shortage of resources due to absence.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for someone at a Technician level (AAT part/qualified or qualified by experience). Ideally a knowledge of Sage 200 and SharePoint but training can be given. 3+ years' experience in an accounts office environment is preferential.

We are looking for someone flexible, a real team player who's not afraid to pitch in. A good communicator who's computer literate with Word, Outlook and Excel.
