Our exclusive PE backed acquisitive client based in Preston is looking to recruit a Management Account / FP&A accountant following an extremely successful growth period,where they have successfully acquired 15 businesses in recent years, strengthening their product lines, geographical reach and expanding its routes to market. Group turnover is predicted to reach £50 million by the end of 2019.

The finance function is led by a highly experienced finance professional with a strong track record of successfully supporting businesses to achieve their strategic goals and drive growth.

We are now seeking to recruit a Management / FP&A Accountant support the Group Financial Controller

Duties and responsibilities are anticipated to be:
  • Create excellent working relationships across all aspects of the organisation, supporting the Board of Directors and Group Financial Controller through the implementation of business strategies and objectives.
  • Deliver accurate and timely divisional accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet, KPI's and supporting commentary.
  • Management and preparation of divisional and group budgets and forecasts.
  • Continuously seek to develop and enhance existing practices across the organisation to support profit maximization.
  • Provide support in areas such as: year-end audit, VAT and statutory returns
  • Develop excellent lines of communication across the wider business.
  • Support the wider business in their development of financial awareness.
  • Support the organisation through further acquisition and integration activities.
  • Deliver financial models to aid in longer term business planning.

You will be a Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA)
  • Engaging style of communication with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels within the group.
  • Ambition and drive to develop their career within the Group.
  • Pro activity and change orientated, using initiative to drive continuous improvement.
  • Credibility with senior management and peers.
  • Self-starter who is willing to be involved in the detail, whilst also having enough gravitas to support and challenge where required.
  • Strong IT and systems skills, MS Excel.
  • Willingness to travel across other business locations.
