JOB TITLE: Student Finance Advisor

LOCATION: Stamford, Lincolnshire

SALARY: £9.63 per hour + statutory holiday pay

QRS is working on behalf of an established Further Education College within the Lincolnshire area and is looking for a Student Finance Advisor to provide a friendly and supportive service to students and customers of the College.

This is a full-time role including some 7.00am starts, to be worked on a rota basis.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in the validation of applications for financial support against current funding guidance.

• Administer the allocation of monies from the various funds for 16-18 and 19+ students including the promotion of the service.

• Administer the forms for the allocation of monies and assist in organising the appropriate panel meetings.

• Student finance administration.

• Liaise with internal and external transport agencies to secure the required transport for those students receiving assistance.

• Be the daily point of contact for transport, with specific responsibility for the administration of home to College transport arrangements and car-parking permits for students.

Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:

• Hold qualifications in a relevant subject.

• Experience of working with teenagers or young adults.

• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
