The roleWe are seeking a full time, permanent Paralegal and the core hours for this unit are between 8 am and 6 pm (individual working hours will be a 7-hour period within this, totalling 35 hours per week).
The unit provides high-quality and efficient paralegal support, including in the following areas:
Litigation support, including preparation of statements of costs , precedent H budgets; costs assessment and negotiation; disclosure including e-disclosure; locating and instructing experts, mediators and counsel
Document and information preparation, organisation and review - preparation of chronologies, bundles and bibles, pagination and indexing of documents, reviewing documents for relevance to a particular matter and redaction of disclosable documents

The team structureThis is an innovative unit based in the Norwich office. It provides paralegal support to the whole firm, on all contentious work. The team members are trained and supervised by senior paralegals, costs specialists and lawyers.
The personThe successful candidate will have a 2:1 degree. A different 2:1 degree will be considered if you also have an LPC. A 2:2 will be considered if it is in addition to good A Levels and high quality Paralegal experience.
If you have significant costs experience, a degree is not necessary provided this can be demonstrated.
The successful candidates will also have excellent IT literacy, written English, a methodical approach to work, be flexible in approach and have the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
