Job Title: Agricultural Engineer / Technician

Overall Job Purpose:

To undertake a variety of mechanical repair and servicing tasks on a wide range of agricultural equipment and machinery.

Responsible to:1. Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics and fault finding on agricultural equipment and machinery
  • Carry out services and repairs
  • Perform pre-delivery set up on new/used equipment
  • Various work related administration such as reports, job cards, timesheets etc.
  • Use of hand / power tools
  • Undertaking product specific training
  • Mentoring apprentices where required.
  • Working in company workshop but travelling to customers location where required.
  • Adhering to health and safety requirements at all times
  • Maintaining and tidy and organised workspace at all times.

Personal Specifications / Qualifications

Personal Specifications:
  • Previous experience working as an Agricultural Engineer / Technician
  • Ability to carrying out fault finding and vehicle diagnostics
  • Competent in the use of basic/specialist tools use in agricultural repairs and servicing
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiar with a wide variety of Agricultural machinery and equipment

Qualifications and Certification:
  • Qualifications / Certification in Agricultural engineer i.e. diploma, certification or completion of apprenticeship
  • Valid driving license
  • In the absence of qualifications, relevant experience will of course be considered.

Additional Information

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Full Time)

Optional Overtime

Location: Newton Abbot

Remuneration: Dependant on experience

Probation: 6 Months
