Vacancy: Assistant Branch Manager (Trade Counter)

Location: Knaresborough

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Mon - Fri 7am - 5pm, alternate Saturdays 7-12

Our Client:

Our client is a family run business with a network of branches across the Yorkshire Region, supplying to Trade, Construction and Public.

The Role

The primary aim of the role is to support the Branch Manager in driving sales and operational effectiveness within the branch. In doing so, this position plays a vital role in achieving sales budgets and profit growth.

Responsibilities (not an exhaustive list):
  • Driving sales, margin targets whilst maintaining a value proposition to the customer
  • Proactive approach to H&S ensuring everyone in the team complies with policy and procedures
  • Proactive leadership to direct reports
  • Effective communication and identifying training needs
  • Use information to drive sales in collaboration with Branch Manager & Sales Representative
  • Maintain & Manage CRM system
  • Establish and maintain relationships with accounts and new customers
  • Attending meetings when required
  • Any other reasonable duty required by the company

Skills:
  • Experienced manager with sales background
  • Understanding of the construction industry
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight schedules
  • Manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • "Can do" attitude
  • Ability to resolve disputes
