Reed Engineering are currently working with a world-leading supplier of advanced and innovative technological solutions within the marine automation industry.

They are looking for enthusiastic and creative individual with a desire to succeed to join them in delivering innovative and creative solutions that meet their customers' exacting requirements in the field of marine automation technology.

Due to company growth they are looking for a Service Engineering Supervisor to join their team and manage the day to day activities of the customer support department with responsibility for supervising the Field Service Engineers and Customer Support Administrators. You will be managing the customer support projects On-site and In-house, liaising directly with senior level clients.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong Engineering and technical background within Marine and the ability to assist and support with field service work when or if necessary.

Key responsibilities:

• On-site Field Management of projects for the customer service departments, managing the overall project plan, budget, tasks description, liaising with ships staff and ensuring sign off

• Management of On-site team for periods of up to and in excess of 4 weeks in one visit at site

• Management of service teams results and personal development

• Prioritise and distribute work within the service team

• Provide and organise support and training to the team so that work is carried out to a high standard within the required time frame.

• Plan technical staff availability to meet commissioning service and repair works

• Manage service levels and customer relationships

• Manage customer enquiries via telephone and email for companies supplied parts and services

• Act as primary point of contact for all service and repair enquiries from engineers throughout the business

• Monitoring and arrange for staff absences to ensure enough cover is maintained

• Provide cover for the head of department during absences

• Expedite enquiries and administration for ILS where needed and produce the necessary documentation

• Report information to senior management team / staff when required, documented and verbally

Essential skills required:

• Project management

• Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers, always

• A thorough understanding of delivering excellent customer service

• Risk assessment competency

• Order processing and quotations

• Computer literate with use of full Microsoft suite

• Accuracy in record keeping
