Group Finance Assistant - LSL Property Services plc - Newcastle Business Park

LSL is a leading provider of residential property services to its key customer groups. Services to consumers include: residential sales, lettings, surveying, conveyancing and advice on mortgages and non-investment insurance products. Services to mortgage lenders include: valuations and panel management services, asset management and property management services.

Our market can be categorised into two principal segments:

Estate Agency and Related Services:

Which provides services related to the sale and letting of residential properties. It operates a network of high street branches. As part of this process, the Estate Agency Division also provides marketing and arranges conveyancing services. In addition, it provides repossession asset management services to a range of lenders. It also arranges mortgages for a number of lenders and arranges pure protection and general insurance policies for a panel of insurance companies via the estate agency branches.

Surveying and Valuation Services:

Which provides valuation and professional survey services of residential properties to both lenders and individual customers.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a Group Finance Assistant based in our offices in Newcastle, where several group and business functions are located. The main purpose of the role is To form part of the Group Finance function and to provide support to various sub-teams including Treasury, Management Accounts, and Financial Planning and Analytics. The role will support the key scheduled deliverables of the Group Finance function as well as any ad hoc deliverables that may arise.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the preparation of daily report on group bank accounts, monitoring and reporting on the company's cash floe in line with Group policies, processing an posting daily bank payments as well as analysing balance sheet, and calculations of company expenditure.

The role holder will provide back up support in the preparation and aggregation of Management Accounts as well as the management of iXBRL statutory accounts tagging process.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skill. You will have a keen eye for detail and have the ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively. You will have the ability to work well within a team and have strong numeracy and literacy skills.

The ideal candidate will be from a strong Finance background and be a proficient user of MS Office particularly MS Excel. You will ideally have a relevant accountancy body qualification however study support can be available to support development into the role.
