This company provides a software as a service electronic prescribing system called iQemo to the healthcare sector. Their customers include some of the world's leading hospitals in cancer treatment. Due to their rapidly growing customer base, both in the NHS and the private sector they are recruiting for a Software Tester.

Over the past 5 years they have built a reputation for producing robust software of the highest quality. To ensure that they maintain this reputation they are looking to hire a Software Tester. Reporting to the Technical Director the successful applicant will have a background in implementing and developing solid QA and Test processes, with experience in Test Automation and Test Scripting. The successful candidate will also be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

Essential skills
- Experience of both manual and automated testing of software products
- Working knowledge of C# / unit testing
- Previous experience implementing software testing strategies within a software development team/company
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good computer skills (including a good level of familiarity with MS Office products)

Desirable skills
- Experience of the Healthcare Sector / e-prescribing
- Working knowledge of SQL Server / T-SQL
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of software testing tools such as Selenium, Test Complete, NUnit

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Preparation of test plans
- Automated test development
- Unit test development
- Manual testing
- Performance testing
- Work closely with product management and the software developers to understand the design of the software product, their key features and the needs of the customer
- Develop and execute manual and automatic tests plans in collaboration with the Development team
- Participate in defect triage meetings and provide inputs to support these meetings
- Documenting and investigating defects
