Test EngineerJob TitleR&D Test EngineerReports ToTest Engineering ManagerPosition SummaryTo take a role in determining and defining manufacturing test requirements for new products or systems, design or source test systems, test specifications and methodologies and provide support for existing products.Key Areas of ResponsibilityDesignTo generate Test Methodologies and Specifications for new products or systemsTo design/develop of Test Equipment for new products or systemsTo determine Test Requirements and prove the Test Specifications or methodologies meet those requirements for the product or systemTo validate and verify that the Test Equipment meets the specification and requirementsTo generate the required documentation for the Test EquipmentTo advise Design on the requirements for test to be incorporated into the product or systemTo identify suppliers of Test Equipment or related componentsTo attend and contribute to Design Review meetingsTo provide support to the Operations Engineering TeamTo assist in the transfer of product from design to manufacture, particularly in respect of testPerform and/or support Test Equipment Qualification ActivitiesProduct Sustaining/Manufacturing supportProvide technical support as requiredInput to NC process to ensure adequate diagnostics of failed test equipmentEscalate problems, document and implement solutions via CAPA or other mechanism as per proceduresProvide and/or review engineering documentation required for transfer to operations, e.g. Work Instructions, BoMs, etcSupport Validation activities within operation, e.g. Pilot or Qualification builds, etcSupport Introduction of new suppliers or other offsite operationsTrainingComply with the company training requirements and attend training sessions when requiredProvide guidance and mentoring to team membersProvide training to othersQualityMaintain Engineering documentation and generate new documentation as required.Take an active role in CAPA and risk management activities.Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Chief Technology Officer/Engineering Manager.Note: This description is not intended to provide a total definition of the job, but an outline of the duties.Qualifications Knowledge SkillsQualifications:3rd Level Qualification in an Electronics disciplineExperience: A minimum of 2 years' experience of working within an Electronics Test or Development environmentSpecific Knowledge:Knowledge of both Analogue and Digital electronicsUnderstanding of Electronics Test systems and techniquesExperience: DesirableAwareness of Risk Management/Mitigation techniquesElectronics Verification/Validation testingFamiliarity with Quality Management systemsSystem/Computer Requirements:Competency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and OutlookCapable of producing high quality technical documentationKey Competencies needed for this position:A technically minded proactive individualAble to work unsupervisedExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsConscientious with attention to detailCommitted, with willingness to take ownership of a taskFlexible to adjust to meet the business needsAble to manage a team & contribute to other teamsWork From Home: NoTravel Percentage: NoneStryker is one of the world's leading medical technology companies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
