In the Midlands a Client Portfolio Manager is required for a 12 month period to drive the key client programme with a focus on priority clients, and to support the Senior Leadership Team and C&I Lead in the region with the development and delivery of the regional C&I plan.

Your roleThe successful candidate will be required to drive and support internal relationship and sales enablement activity and to drive the key client programme in the Midlands region, applying the governance and support required to maximise the focus on these clients.

You will lead this programme for the Midlands, providing advice, guidance and support to the lead client partners (LCSPs), client service teams and senior leadership team in the region whilst acting as a C&I ambassador. This will include leveraging client relationship development assets to grow, retain and target the region's priority accounts.

Based in the Birmingham office, this role will have a focus on the wider Midlands region, including supporting partners and client account teams in Birmingham and Nottingham offices

StrategyAs a key member of the Midlands C&I team you will:

• Support the C&I Lead in developing and implementing the regional Business Development strategy to drive revenue growth, strengthen relationships and networks and raise market/brand profile.
• Understand the strategic business issues, provide expert advice, influencing, challenging and inspiring senior partners.
• Work with the C&I Lead to embed, deliver and track impact of the regional plan to deliver a return on investment and convey Deloitte's purpose and brand values in the market place, creating eminence and optimal brand positioning.
• Contribute to the C&I planning process for the Midlands region, based on market knowledge of the priority client portfolio in the region.

Portfolio and account performanceYou will lead the Midlands key account programme, specifically:

• Drive financial account planning in line with strategic objectives for the portfolio.
• Enable and drive the development of strategic account plans, embedding best practice account management principles, including facilitation of account workshops.
• Work with the region's leadership team to drive initiatives which are directly aligned to the growth, pursuit and retention of the regional key account population.
• Lead and facilitate the Lead Client Service Partner (LCSP) and Deloitte Relationship Manager (DRM) networks, including creation and delivery of a managed communications and development plan and fostering a sense of community.
• Lead on the effective leverage of national client relationship development assets, including the client care program and related initiatives for the Midlands region. Ensure actions are taken to address feedback and champion the client perspective and experience in all that we do.
• Responsibility for the analysis and presentation of practice financial results; working closely with the Communications Manager to ensure effective communication.

Focus on new businessYou will lead the Midlands regional approach to new business, to include:

• Coach/train partners, practitioners, individuals and teams to develop and strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support a broadening of the relationship across services, and to drive revenue growth and margin improvement.
• Equip partners and practitioners to have more impactful conversations with clients, influencers and referrers.
• Ensure appropriate levels of engagement with firm-wide relationship assets and support colleagues to deploy a wide range of assets.
• Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Work pattern: This is a full-time 12 months fixed term contract opportunity.

The role can also be worked on a part-time basis, with a minimum of three days (60% presence) a week, with an opportunity for some home working.
