Qualified Teacher with BSL, Newton abbot, September 2019

Monarch Education are recruiting for a qualified Teacher in the Exeter area, with experience in supporting children with hearing impairment. We are looking for a Teacher who has skills with supporting children to learn and develop in education working in line with the pupils individual EHCP.

We are looking for a Teacher who has the following:
  • QTS and Evidenced Experience
  • Effective spoken language communicator with clear lip patterns
  • Taught Children who are hearing impaired previously
  • British Sign Language Qualifications
  • High expectations of and respect for all deaf learners as individuals
  • A balanced and informed attitude towards the range of communication approaches used in the education of deaf learners
  • SEN experience

Qualifications required:
  • Experiences working in schools.
  • Relevant qualifications.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN within the last five years
  • Experience with behaviour management
  • Experience with Makaton (Not desirable)
  • Have a current Team Teach Certificate (Not desirable)
  • Have two educational references within the last five years
  • Completion of Monarch registration procedures and safeguarding checks.

This can be day to day cover supporting a variety of children in a variety of Schools to Fulltime temporary - permanent position Monday to Friday and Term Time only.
